Description

Learning a language can be an experience that transforms your life. Over 25 years of language learning experience has taught Rosetta Stone one thing: everyone has the ability to learn to read, write, and speak a language with confidence. Try the Rosetta Stone app yourself for free. Many online language learning apps will promise that you can learn a language in just a few minutes a day. However, there is a significant difference between memorizing vocabulary lists and speaking a language with confidence. Learning a language is about more than just the words. One of the mistakes new language learners make is treating language as an object or an end goal instead of as an experience. Ditch the books, translator, and dictionary, and surround yourself with a language whenever, wherever with the Rosetta Stone mobile app. RECENT AWARDS • 2019 PCMag Editors’ Choice • 2019 Tabby Awards Winner • 2019 Best Mobile App Awards: Best Designed App and Best Overall App Rosetta Stone has taught millions of people new languages, and you’re next. • Glitches in app

I have enjoyed the way the app is set up when it works. Keep having issues with the app not working properly and now it is frozen up and I can’t move forward. The “help and support “ seems to be nonexistent.
  • Great lesson plans but poor voice recognition

It’s frustrating when the program “can’t hear me.” Sometimes it “hears” only the first word or two and not the rest. I had to disable the microphone to continue, which partly defeats the whole purpose of learning correct pronunciation.
  • Broken iPadOS 16.3.1

This app worked fine until the upgrade to iPadOS 16.3.1. Now when you start the app in landscape, it rotates the screen 180 degrees so it becomes upside down automatically. The app is now unusable. If it isn’t fixed quickly I’ll dump the app and use an app from another vendor that actually works. it’s a shame. It looks like the app wasn’t tested for the iPadOS upgrade.
  • Really good tool for learning language

I’m using it to learn Chinese. You only hear Chinese. Unlike other apps it doesn’t explain what each word or phrase means, you have to figure it out. It’s an immersive concept that I enjoy. So far so good!

I have enjoyed so far this app, but I think it has a glitch, for some reason
  • Simple learning

The lessons are simple. It would be nice if they gave translations for all languages.
  • App is frustrating

The app is frustrating, it doesn’t respond well, and the learning design is not a good learning style. Saying a bunch of words and showing me tiny pictures with no translation unless I go through MANY extra steps making it take twice as long. Developer responded with two articles to “explain” but really isn’t worth the read, as it doesn’t change the issues.
  • Could be much better

Glitchy, Difficult to follow and boring. Looks like an after school special but it’s relatively inexpensive. I much preferred Duo lingo. .
